So it is now the 11th day of February and I have not yet completed any of the goals I set for myself at the begining of the month...talk about procrastination. So, I'm adamant about starting today and at least getting through some of these things.
I am drinking a bottle of water as I write this, so I should drink 4 bottles of water today. I doubt I will go running today since I will be going over to my boyfriend's, but maybe tomorrow I can do that. I do however, have a healthy lunch for today. I'm blogging today, so that's another one. I installed Ubutu on my external drive, so that's something I learned how to do and I'll probably mess with it again today...I'm not having quite the results I wanted from that. I need to find someone to help me with that. I also brought the book my boss gave me to read and I will read at least 20 pages today and I even brought him one to read too. So far that's 4 out of 10 things. So I guess if I do some thing nice today and maybe read up on world religions I should have 6 out of 10 things today :)
I also signed up with First30days.com to help with some of these changes and of course I am using mint.com to manage my money, so hopefully I will be a much more awesome and organized and on track person come March.
On another note, I'm so excited Obama won this weekend! What an awesome weekend for him! He won all the primaries/caucuses and two Grammys! How amazing! I am truly convinced he is the man to lead this country at this time. Regardless of what Hillary says and how great it would be to have a woman in office, I believe she is more of the same and that she is just a political robot almost. I hate how ingenuous she looks every time she comes out to speak with that fake smile and the nodding and pointing at people every time..it's very annoying and speaks to her fake front hiding god knows what. I think she has some really great plans, but I also think she has some hidden agendas.
More on the political front, but this time Colombian: Alvaro Uribe is preparing to run for a third term as President. Although I do believe that he has been a breath of fresh air for the country and is not truly in bed with the rebel groups, he should not be reelected. I think he was perfect for president when he originally ran. We then amended our Constitution to accommodate the idea that no one can change the course of our country in 4 years, which is true. I do think we need some one in power 8 - 16 years to truly change our Nation around, end this 50-year old civil war, end corruption and grow our economy. However, Uribe has tried and failed to bring about real change to our society. Granted, Colombia is not an easy country to fix and he has given it a good try, but I think that we almost need someone more authoritarian with a "Get Things Done or Else" attitude to stand up to the staunchly established political and economic corruption on the land and to the unbelievably powerful rebel groups. They will not go quietly into the night. No amount of negotiation is ever going to end in a cease-fire or disarmament. This is mainly because they themselves have surrendered their values, ideas, and goals to the trafficking of drugs and the lure of money and power. I don't think they have any well-established goals that one can negotiate upon. They have given over their cause to greed and violence and now that is all they know. They continue to brainwash the youth with communist ideas that they themselves no longer believe. It is time for a militarian president who understands that only brute force will bring down the guerrilla leaders, but also one that understands the need for a comprehensive solution to this problem.
Ok, that's my spiel for the day....

Obama
So I am all signed up now to help in the Obama Campaign. I'm very excited as this will be the first campaign I participate in.
I really believe that Obama is the right candidate for our time and the situation this country finds itself in.
Last night I went to the Jefferson-Jackson rally and I am signed up to go to a Super Tuesday watching party and canvass next weekend...sounds like fun:)

So, I want to form 10 New positive habits for everyday:
